You’ve probably tried reheating leftover cookies in a number of methods, only to discover that they’ve gotten hard and dry. I discovered that the easiest method to reheat my cookies was in the oven. When done correctly, the oven will warm up your cookies, making them delicious and gooey on the inside. Here’s how it’s done:

As a general guideline, reheat your cookies by preheating the oven to 300°F and putting them on a cookie sheet on the middle rack for 4 to 5 minutes. Keep an eye on the cookies to make sure they don’t burn or overbake. When the cookies are done, they will be glossy and inflated.

I would, however, recommend that if you use the oven, you keep a tight check on your cookies and just heat them for a minute or two at a time.

Remember, if your cookies aren’t warm enough, you may always return them to the oven. A badly burned cookie, on the other hand, cannot be saved.

How Long Does It Take To Reheat Cookies In The Oven?

Cookies should be warmed in the oven for four to five minutes as a general rule. Bake the cookies at 300 degrees Fahrenheit in an oven-safe dish. Keep a tight check on the cookies during the cooking process to prevent burning or overcooking.

The key to reheating cookies in the oven is to keep an eye on them while they warm up. If you are not attentive, previously baked cookies can rapidly burn.

I’d recommend setting your timer for four minutes and checking on them after that.

If they aren’t warm enough, you can always put them back in!

The secret is to keep your oven temperature low. I find that 300 degrees Fahrenheit (150 degrees Celsius) is an excellent temperature for gently warming the cookies rather than fast, which may result in scorching.

What Are the Best Methods for Reheating Cookies?

In general, the most successful techniques for reheating cookies are to use the oven, microwave them, or heat them in an air fryer. Besides from these traditional techniques, you may also reheat them in a toaster oven or on the stovetop.

Although warming your cookies in the oven is fantastic, many people want to know where else you can reheat them. There are various techniques for reheating your cookies and making them taste as good as the day you cooked them!

1. The Stove

Place the cookies on a cookie sheet or other oven-safe dish to reheat in the oven. Preheat the oven to 300°F and set the cookies inside for four to five minutes to warm up. Take them out after no more than six minutes to prevent drying them out or scorching them.

Most of the time, I prefer to reheat cookies in the oven, particularly if I’m reheating more than a few. Preheat the oven to 300 degrees Fahrenheit. Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil or parchment paper.

Start arranging your cookies on top of the covered baking sheet while your oven is heating up. I prefer to leave approximately an inch of space between cookies.

Overcrowding your cookies on the sheet may cause them to warm unevenly.

Place your cookies in the oven when it has reached 300 degrees and set your timer for four minutes. Cookies that have previously been made may easily burn when reheated in the oven, so keep an eye on them while you wait!

Take your cookies out after four minutes and check their temperature. Enjoy them if they’re the proper temperature! If they need to be warmed for a few minutes longer, just return them to the oven for another minute.

2. The microwave oven

Place the cookies on a microwave-safe dish to reheat in the microwave. Put a moist paper towel on top of the cookies before microwaving for 20 seconds. The wet paper towel will redistribute moisture into the cookies, resulting in soft, chewy cookies.

Although the microwave is the easiest option to reheat your cookies, there are a few things to keep in mind.

Microwaving cookies to reheat them may rapidly dehydrate them, leaving you with dry, crumbly cookies. Thankfully, there is a fast and straightforward solution to this issue.

Wet a food-grade paper towel thoroughly with cold water. Be careful to wring off any extra water in the sink. Put the moist towel on top of your cookie dish before placing it in the microwave.

It is not necessary to thoroughly wrap the cookies with the moist cloth. This approach should work by lightly laying the towel on top of the tray of cookies.

Ensure that every cookie is covered by the moist paper towel.

After that, microwave for 20 seconds. Pull them out when they’re finished. The wet towel will assist to keep your cookies as wonderful and moist as they were when you originally made them!

3. The Airfryer

Set the air fryer to 300°F and put the cookies on the tray without stacking them on top of each other to reheat. Set a timer for two minutes and check on them when they’re finished. This procedure may be done as many times as necessary until they achieve the required temperature and consistency.

Although many people may not think of using an air fryer to reheat their cookies, I’ve discovered that if you don’t have a microwave or quickly available oven nearby, this approach works well.

Then, preheat your air fryer to 300°F. Line your cookies within the tray, being careful not to stack them on top of each other.

If you stack them, you’ll get cooled cookies on top and scorched bottoms beneath.

Place the tray into the air fryer once it has been preheated for two to three minutes. As the timer goes off, check on your cookies and repeat the procedure as needed if you have numerous batches that need to be warmed.

If you’re using your air fryer to reheat cookies, keep a tight check on it. Because of their capacity to cook food fast and effectively, air fryers have grown in popularity.

But, if you don’t pay great attention to cooking time and temperature, they may rapidly burn your food, so keep an eye on it to prevent a mistake.

4. Oven Toaster

How Do You Reheat Cookies in the Oven?

To warm cookies in a toaster oven, preheat the toaster oven for approximately 5 minutes at 300 degrees. Warm the cookies for approximately four minutes on the baking pan. If they haven’t been warmed through, add another minute.

If you’re going to use the toaster oven, be sure it’s not too hot or too cold. The amount of variation I’ve observed in several toaster oven heating components is rather astounding.

After checking the temperature, reheat your cookies in the same manner as you would in a standard oven. Since toaster ovens are smaller, bigger quantities may need to be divided into smaller parts.

I do suggest preheating the toaster oven in the same way you would a traditional oven. Preheat the toaster oven at 300°F (150°C) for around 5 minutes before putting the cookies inside to warm.

5. Top of the stove

Is it possible to reheat cookies on the stovetop?

Cookies can often be warmed on the stovetop. To begin, oil a pan with nonstick spray or butter. Preheat the skillet to low heat and add the cookies. Turn them every fifteen seconds until they reach the correct temperature.

Although this is not a traditional method of reheating cookies, sometimes you have to think outside the box, particularly if you don’t have access to a microwave or an oven. Thankfully, you can reheat your cookies using a stovetop burner.

It is critical to use a nonstick pan for this step.

This approach works fast, but it requires some attention to precision, so I suggest reheating your cookies in tiny batches of three to four.

After grabbing your skillet, gently coat it with frying spray or butter.

After heated, turn the heating element to low and set your cookies in the pan. To ensure that the cookies are equally warmed, flip them over every fifteen seconds. The whole procedure should take no more than two to three minutes. Remove them when they’ve properly heated and enjoy!

How Do You Restore Undercooked Cookies?

Undercooked cookies may be returned to the oven once they have cooled. Bake them for a further five minutes at the same temperature as before, keeping an eye on them to prevent them from being overdone or scorched.

Undercooked cookies are usually salvageable! I’d rather have a batch of undercooked cookies than a batch of burnt cookies!

Set your oven to 325 degrees Fahrenheit, or the same temperature you cooked them at the beginning, and bake them for an additional five minutes. Since they are almost halfway cooked, keep a tight check on them to prevent overbaking!
